          Is the book stands against the growth of science and knowledge, by saying "more of note than sorrow" (Ecclesiastes 18:1)?

          الكتاب يقصد المعلومات الضارة، التى تتعب فكر الإنسان. هناك معلومات يعرفها الإنسان فتجلب له شهوات وحروباً روحية، فيقول ليتنى ما عرفت. وهناك قراءات ومعارف تجلب له شكوكاً، وربما تؤثر علي إيمانه. ومعلومات أخرى ربما يعرفها، فتؤثر علي محبته للآخرين، أو تجعله يدينهم. وفي كل ذلك يقول ليتني ما عرفت. ولذلك ينبغى أن يكون هناك ضابط للإنسان في معارفه وقراءاته... وليس كل شئ يجوز لكل أحد معرفته. وهناك معارف تفتح العينين علي أمور ليس من صالحه أن يعرفها، وفي سن معينة، أو في حالة نفسية معينة، أو قبل النضوج روحياً أو فكرياً.. إلخ. عن هذه وأمثالها قال الحكيم " من يزيد علماً، يزيد حزناً". أما باقى الأمور النافعة، فباب العلم مفتوح للجميع...
