1 Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his
head, and kissed him and said: "Is it not because the Lord has anointed
you commander over His inheritance?* |

وَمَا

الأَنْبِيَاءِ,
قَالَ الشَّعْبُ
الْوَاحِدُ
لِصَاحِبِهِ:
«مَاذَا صَارَ
لاِبْنِ
قَيْسٍ؟
أَشَاوُلُ
أَيْضاً بَيْنَ
الأَنْبِيَاءِ؟» |
12 Then a man from there answered and said,
"But who is their father?" Therefore it became a proverb: "Is
Saul also among the prophets?" |
12 فَقَالَ
رَجُلٌ مِنْ
هُنَاكَ:
«وَمَنْ هُوَ
أَبُوهُمْ؟»
وَلِذَلِكَ
ذَهَبَ
مَثَلاً:
«أَشَاوُلُ
أَيْضاً
بَيْنَ
الأَنْبِيَاءِ؟» |
13 And when he had finished prophesying, he went to
the high place. |
13 وَلَمَّا
انْتَهَى
مِنَ
التَّنَبِّي
جَاءَ إِلَى
الْمُرْتَفَعَةِ. |
14 Then Saul's uncle said to him and his servant,
"Where did you go?" So he said, "To look for the donkeys. When
we saw that they were nowhere to be found, we went to Samuel." |
14 فَقَالَ
عَمُّ
شَاوُلَ
لَهُ
وَلِغُلاَمِهِ:
«إِلَى
أَيْنَ
ذَهَبْتُمَا؟»
فَقَالَ:
«لِكَيْ
نُفَتِّشَ
عَلَى
الأُتُنِ.
وَلَمَّا
رَأَيْنَا
أَنَّهَا
لَمْ
تُوجَدْ جِئْنَا
إِلَى
صَمُوئِيلَ». |
15 And Saul's uncle said, "Tell me, please,
what Samuel said to you." |
15 فَقَالَ
عَمُّ
شَاوُلَ:
«أَخْبِرْنِي
مَاذَا قَالَ
لَكُمَا
صَمُوئِيلُ». |
16 So Saul said to his uncle, "He told us
plainly that the donkeys had been found." But about the matter of the
kingdom, he did not tell him what Samuel had said. |
16 فَقَالَ
شَاوُلُ
لِعَمِّهِ:
«أَخْبَرَنَا
بِأَنَّ
الأُتُنَ
قَدْ
وُجِدَتْ».
وَلَكِنَّهُ
لَمْ
يُخْبِرْهُ
بِأَمْرِ
الْمَمْلَكَةِ
الَّذِي
تَكَلَّمَ
بِهِ
صَمُوئِيلُ. |
17 Then Samuel called the people together to
the Lord at Mizpah, |
17 وَاسْتَدْعَى
صَمُوئِيلُ
الشَّعْبَ
إِلَى
الرَّبِّ
إِلَى
الْمِصْفَاةِ, |
18 and said to the children of |
18 وَقَالَ
لِبَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ:
«هَكَذَا يَقُولُ
الرَّبُّ
إِلَهُ
إِسْرَائِيلَ:
إِنِّي
أَصْعَدْتُ
إِسْرَائِيلَ
مِنْ مِصْرَ
وَأَنْقَذْتُكُمْ
مِنْ يَدِ
الْمِصْرِيِّينَ
وَمِنْ يَدِ
جَمِيعِ
الْمَمَالِكِ
الَّتِي ضَايَقَتْكُمْ. |
19 But you have today rejected your God, who
Himself saved you from all your adversities and your tribulations; and you
have said to Him, 'No, set a king over us!' Now therefore, present yourselves
before the Lord by your tribes and by your clans." |
19 وَأَنْتُمْ
قَدْ
رَفَضْتُمُ
الْيَوْمَ
إِلَهَكُمُ
الَّذِي
هُوَ
مُخَلِّصُكُمْ
مِنْ جَمِيعِ
الَّذِينَ
يُسِيئُونَ
إِلَيْكُمْ
وَيُضَايِقُونَكُمْ,
وَقُلْتُمْ
لَهُ: بَلْ

مَلِكاً.
فَالآنَ

20 And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of |
20 فَقَدَّمَ
صَمُوئِيلُ
جَمِيعَ أَسْبَاطِ
إِسْرَائِيلَ
فَأُخِذَ
سِبْطُ بِنْيَامِينَ. |
21 When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come
near by their families, the family of Matri was
chosen. And Saul the son of |
21 ثُمَّ

فَأُخِذَتْ

وَأُخِذَ
شَاوُلُ
بْنُ قَيْسَ.
فَفَتَّشُوا
عَلَيْهِ
فَلَمْ
يُوجَدْ. |
22 Therefore they inquired of the Lord
further, "Has the man come here yet?" And the Lord answered,
"There he is, hidden among the equipment." |
22 فَسَأَلُوا
أَيْضاً
مِنَ
الرَّبِّ:
«هَلْ يَأْتِي
الرَّجُلُ
إِلَى
هُنَا؟»
فَقَالَ
الرَّبُّ:
«هُوَذَا
قَدِ
اخْتَبَأَ
بَيْنَ
الأَمْتِعَةِ». |
23 So they ran and brought him from there; and when
he stood among the people, he was taller than any of the people from his
shoulders upward. |
23 فَرَكَضُوا
وَأَخَذُوهُ
مِنْ
هُنَاكَ,
فَوَقَفَ
بَيْنَ
الشَّعْبِ,
فَكَانَ
أَطْوَلَ مِنْ
كُلِّ
الشَّعْبِ
مِنْ
كَتِفِهِ
فَمَا فَوْقُ. |
24 And Samuel said to all the people, "Do you
see him whom the Lord has chosen, that there is no one like him among all the
people?" So all the people shouted and said, "Long live the
king!" |
25 Then Samuel explained to the people the behavior
of royalty, and wrote it in a book and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel
sent all the people away, every man to his house. |
25 فَكَلَّمَ
صَمُوئِيلُ
الشَّعْبَ
بِقَضَاءِ
الْمَمْلَكَةِ
وَكَتَبَهُ
فِي
السِّفْرِ
وَوَضَعَهُ
أَمَامَ
الرَّبِّ.
ثُمَّ أَطْلَقَ
صَمُوئِيلُ
جَمِيعَ
الشَّعْبِ
كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ
إِلَى
بَيْتِهِ. |
26 And Saul also went home to Gibeah;
and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched. |
26 وَشَاوُلُ
أَيْضاً
ذَهَبَ
إِلَى
بَيْتِهِ إِلَى
جِبْعَةَ,
وَذَهَبَ
مَعَهُ
الْجَمَاعَةُ
الَّتِي
مَسَّ
اللَّهُ
قَلْبَهَا. |
27 But some rebels said, "How can this man
save us?" So they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held
his peace. |
27 وَأَمَّا
بَنُو
بَلِيَّعَالَ
فَقَالُوا:
«كَيْفَ
يُخَلِّصُنَا
هَذَا؟»
فَاحْتَقَرُوهُ
وَلَمْ
يُقَدِّمُوا
لَهُ
هَدِيَّةً.
فَكَانَ
كَأَصَمَّ. |
