18 |
1 The word of the Lord came to me again,
saying, |
1 وَكَانَ
إِلَيَّ
كَلاَمُ
الرَّبِّ: |
2 "What do you mean when you use this proverb
concerning the |
2 [مَا
لَكُمْ
أَنْتُمْ
تَضْرِبُونَ
هَذَا الْمَثَلَ
عَلَى
أَرْضِ
إِسْرَائِيلَ,
قَائِلِينَ:
الآبَاءُ
أَكَلُوا
الْحِصْرِمَ
وَأَسْنَانُ
الأَبْنَاءِ
ضَرِسَتْ؟ |
3 "As I live," says the Lord God, "you
shall no longer use this proverb in |
3 حَيٌّ
أَنَا
يَقُولُ
السَّيِّدُ
الرَّبُّ, لاَ
يَكُونُ
لَكُمْ مِنْ
بَعْدُ أَنْ
تَضْرِبُوا
هَذَا
الْمَثَلَ
فِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ. |
4 "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the
father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. |
4 هَا
كُلُّ
النُّفُوسِ
هِيَ لِي.
نَفْسُ
الأَبِ
كَنَفْسِ
الاِبْنِ.
كِلاَهُمَا
لِي. النَّفْسُ
الَّتِي
تُخْطِئُ
هِيَ
تَمُوتُ. |
5 But if a man is just And does what is
lawful and right; |
5 وَالإِنْسَانُ
الَّذِي
كَانَ
بَارّاً وَفَعَلَ
حَقّاً
وَعَدْلاً, |
6 If he has not eaten on the mountains, Nor
lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of |
6 لَمْ
يَأْكُلْ
عَلَى
الْجِبَالِ
وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ
عَيْنَيْهِ
إِلَى
أَصْنَامِ
بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ,
وَلَمْ
يُنَجِّسِ
امْرَأَةَ
قَرِيبِهِ
وَلَمْ
يَقْرُبِ
امْرَأَةً
طَامِثاً, |
7 If he has not oppressed anyone, But has
restored to the debtor his pledge; Has robbed no one by violence, But has
given his bread to the hungry And covered the naked with clothing; |
7 وَلَمْ
يَظْلِمْ
إِنْسَاناً,
بَلْ رَدَّ
لِلْمَدْيُونِ
رَهْنَهُ,
وَلَمْ
يَغْتَصِبِ اغْتِصَاباً
بَلْ بَذَلَ
خُبْزَهُ
لِلْجَوْعَانِ
وَكَسَا
الْعُرْيَانَ
ثَوْباً, |
8 If he has not exacted usury Nor taken any
increase, But has withdrawn his hand from iniquity And executed true judgment
between man and man; |
8 وَلَمْ
يُعْطِ
بِالرِّبَا,
وَلَمْ
يَأْخُذْ
مُرَابَحَةً,
وَكَفَّ
يَدَهُ عَنِ
الْجَوْرِ,
وَأَجْرَى
الْعَدْلَ
الْحَقَّ
بَيْنَ
الإِنْسَانِ,
وَالإِنْسَانِ |
9 If he has walked in My statutes And kept My
judgments faithfully-- He is just; He shall surely live!" Says the Lord
God. |
9 وَسَلَكَ
فِي
فَرَائِضِي
وَحَفِظَ
أَحْكَامِي
لِيَعْمَلَ
بِالْحَقِّ
فَهُوَ
بَارٌّ.
حَيَاةً
يَحْيَا
يَقُولُ
السَّيِّدُ
الرَّبُّ. |
10 "If he begets a son who is a robber Or
a shedder of blood, Who does any of these things |
10 [فَإِنْ
وَلَدَ
ابْناً
مُعْتَنِفاً
سَفَّاكَ
دَمٍ,
فَفَعَلَ
شَيْئاً
مِنْ هَذِهِ |
11 And does none of those duties, But has
eaten on the mountains Or defiled his neighbor's wife; |
11 وَلَمْ
يَفْعَلْ
كُلَّ
تِلْكَ, بَلْ
أَكَلَ عَلَى
الْجِبَالِ
وَنَجَّسَ
امْرَأَةَ
قَرِيبِهِ |
12 If he has oppressed the poor and needy,
Robbed by violence, Not restored the pledge, Lifted his eyes to the idols, Or
committed abomination; |
12 وَظَلَمَ
الْفَقِيرَ
وَالْمِسْكِينَ,
وَاغْتَصَبَ
اغْتِصَاباً,
وَلَمْ
يَرُدَّ الرَّهْنَ,
وَقَدْ
رَفَعَ
عَيْنَيْهِ
إِلَى الأَصْنَامِ
وَفَعَلَ
الرِّجْسَ, |
13 If he has exacted usury Or taken increase--
Shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these
abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him. |
13 وَأَعْطَى
بِالرِّبَا
وَأَخَذَ
الْمُرَابَحَةَ,
أَفَيَحْيَا؟
لاَ يَحْيَا!
قَدْ عَمِلَ
كُلَّ
هَذِهِ
الرَّجَاسَاتِ
فَمَوْتاً
يَمُوتُ.
دَمُهُ
يَكُونُ
عَلَى
نَفْسِهِ! |
14 "If, however, he begets a son Who sees
all the sins which his father has done, And considers but does not do
likewise; |
14 [وَإِنْ
وَلَدَ
ابْناً
رَأَى
جَمِيعَ
خَطَايَا
أَبِيهِ
الَّتِي
فَعَلَهَا
فَرَآهَا
وَلَمْ
يَفْعَلْ
مِثْلَهَا. |
15 Who has not eaten on the mountains, Nor
lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of |

يَأْكُلْ
عَلَى
الْجِبَالِ
وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ
عَيْنَيْهِ
إِلَى
أَصْنَامِ
بَيْتِ
إِسْرَائِيلَ
وَلاَ
نَجَّسَ
امْرَأَةَ
قَرِيبِهِ |
16 Has not oppressed anyone, Nor withheld a
pledge, Nor robbed by violence, But has given his bread to the hungry And
covered the naked with clothing; |
16 وَلاَ
ظَلَمَ إِنْسَاناً
وَلاَ
ارْتَهَنَ
رَهْناً
وَلاَ اغْتَصَبَ
اغْتِصَاباً,
بَلْ بَذَلَ
خُبْزَهُ لِلْجَوْعَانِ
وَكَسَا
الْعُرْيَانَ
ثَوْباً |
17 Who has withdrawn his hand from the poor And
not received usury or increase, But has executed My judgments And walked in
My statutes-- He shall not die for the iniquity of his father; He shall
surely live! |
17 وَرَفَعَ
يَدَهُ عَنِ
الْفَقِيرِ
وَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ
رِباً وَلاَ
مُرَابَحَةً,
بَلْ أَجْرَى
أَحْكَامِي
وَسَلَكَ
فِي
فَرَائِضِي,
فَإِنَّهُ
لاَ يَمُوتُ
بِإِثْمِ
أَبِيهِ.
حَيَاةً
يَحْيَا. |
18 "As for his father, Because he cruelly
oppressed, Robbed his brother by violence, And did what is not good among his
people, Behold, he shall die for his iniquity. |
18 أَمَّا
أَبُوهُ
فَلأَنَّهُ
ظَلَمَ
ظُلْماً
وَاغْتَصَبَ
أَخَاهُ اغْتِصَاباً,
وَعَمِلَ
غَيْرَ
الصَّالِحِ
بَيْنَ
شَعْبِهِ,
فَهُوَذَا
يَمُوتُ
بِإِثْمِهِ. |
19 "Yet you say, 'Why should the son not bear the
guilt of the father?' Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and
has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live. |
19 [وَأَنْتُمْ
تَقُولُونَ:
لِمَاذَا
لاَ يَحْمِلُ
الاِبْنُ
مِنْ إِثْمِ
الأَبِ؟
أَمَّا الاِبْنُ
فَقَدْ
فَعَلَ
حَقّاً
وَعَدْلاً. حَفِظَ
جَمِيعَ
فَرَائِضِي
وَعَمِلَ
بِهَا
فَحَيَاةً
يَحْيَا. |
20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not
bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The
righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself,
and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. |
20 اَلنَّفْسُ
الَّتِي
تُخْطِئُ
هِيَ
تَمُوتُ.
الاِبْنُ
لاَ
يَحْمِلُ
مِنْ إِثْمِ
الأَبِ
وَالأَبُ
لاَ
يَحْمِلُ
مِنْ إِثْمِ
الاِبْنِ.
بِرُّ
الْبَارِّ
عَلَيْهِ
يَكُونُ
وَشَرُّ الشِّرِّيرِ
عَلَيْهِ
يَكُونُ. |
21 "But if a wicked man turns from all
his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is
lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. |
21 فَإِذَا
رَجَعَ
الشِّرِّيرُ
عَنْ
جَمِيعِ خَطَايَاهُ
الَّتِي
فَعَلَهَا
وَحَفِظَ كُلَّ
فَرَائِضِي
وَفَعَلَ
حَقّاً
وَعَدْلاً
فَحَيَاةً
يَحْيَا. لاَ
يَمُوتُ. |
22 None of the transgressions which he has committed
shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has
done, he shall live. |
22 كُلُّ
مَعَاصِيهِ
الَّتِي
فَعَلَهَا
لاَ تُذْكَرُ
عَلَيْهِ.
فِي بِرِّهِ
الَّذِي عَمِلَ
يَحْيَا. |
23 Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked
should die?" says the Lord God, "and not that he should turn from
his ways and live? |
23 هَلْ
مَسَرَّةً
أُسَرُّ
بِمَوْتِ
الشِّرِّيرِ
يَقُولُ
السَّيِّدُ
الرَّبُّ؟
أَلاَ بِرُجُوعِهِ
عَنْ طُرُقِهِ
فَيَحْيَا؟ |
24 "But when a righteous man turns away
from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the
abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness
which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of
which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he
shall die. |
24 وَإِذَا
رَجَعَ
الْبَارُّ
عَنْ
بِرِّهِ وَعَمِلَ
إِثْماً
وَفَعَلَ
مِثْلَ
كُلِّ الرَّجَاسَاتِ
الَّتِي
يَفْعَلُهَا
الشِّرِّيرُ,
أَفَيَحْيَا؟
كُلُّ
بِرِّهِ
الَّذِي
عَمِلَهُ لاَ
يُذْكَرُ.
فِي
خِيَانَتِهِ
الَّتِي
خَانَهَا
وَفِي
خَطِيَّتِهِ
الَّتِي
أَخْطَأَ بِهَا
يَمُوتُ. |
25 "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not
fair.' Hear now, O house of |
25 [وَأَنْتُمْ
تَقُولُونَ:
لَيْسَتْ
طَرِيقُ الرَّبِّ
مُسْتَوِيَةً.
فَاسْمَعُوا
الآنَ يَا
بَيْتَ
إِسْرَائِيلَ.
أَطَرِيقِي
هِيَ غَيْرُ
مُسْتَوِيَةٍ؟
أَلَيْسَتْ
طُرُقُكُمْ
غَيْرَ
مُسْتَوِيَةٍ؟ |
26 When a righteous man turns away from his
righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the
iniquity which he has done that he dies. |
26 إِذَا
رَجَعَ
الْبَارُّ
عَنْ
بِرِّهِ
وَعَمِلَ
إِثْماً
وَمَاتَ
فِيهِ,
فَبِإِثْمِهِ
الَّذِي
عَمِلَهُ
يَمُوتُ. |
27 Again, when a wicked man turns away from the
wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he
preserves himself alive. |
27 وَإِذَا
رَجَعَ
الشِّرِّيرُ
عَنْ
شَرِّهِ الَّذِي
فَعَلَ,
وَعَمِلَ
حَقّاً
وَعَدْلاً, فَهُوَ
يُحْيِي نَفْسَهُ. |
28 Because he considers and turns away
from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he
shall not die. |
28 رَأَى
فَرَجَعَ
عَنْ كُلِّ
مَعَاصِيهِ
الَّتِي
عَمِلَهَا
فَحَيَاةً
يَحْيَا. لاَ
يَمُوتُ. |
29 Yet the house of |
29 وَبَيْتُ
إِسْرَائِيلَ
يَقُولُ:
لَيْسَتْ طَرِيقُ
الرَّبِّ
مُسْتَوِيَةً.
أَطُرُقِي غَيْرُ
مُسْتَقِيمَةٍ
يَا بَيْتَ
إِسْرَائِيلَ؟
أَلَيْسَتْ
طُرُقُكُمْ
غَيْرَ
مُسْتَقِيمَةٍ؟ |
30 "Therefore I will judge you, O house of |
30 مِنْ
أَجْلِ
ذَلِكَ
أَقْضِي
عَلَيْكُمْ
يَا بَيْتَ
إِسْرَائِيلَ
كُلِّ
وَاحِدٍ
كَطُرُقِهِ
يَقُولُ
السَّيِّدُ
الرَّبُّ.
تُوبُوا
وَارْجِعُوا
عَنْ كُلِّ
مَعَاصِيكُمْ,
وَلاَ
يَكُونُ
لَكُمُ
الإِثْمُ
مَهْلَكَةً. |
31 Cast away from you all the transgressions which
you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why
should you die, O house of |
31 اِطْرَحُوا
عَنْكُمْ
كُلَّ
مَعَاصِيكُمُ
الَّتِي
عَصِيْتُمْ
بِهَا,
وَاعْمَلُوا
لأَنْفُسِكُمْ
قَلْباً
جَدِيداً
وَرُوحاً
جَدِيدَةً.
فَلِمَاذَا
تَمُوتُونَ
يَا بَيْتَ
إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ |
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who
dies," says the Lord God. "Therefore turn and live! |
32 لأَنِّي
لاَ أُسَرُّ
بِمَوْتِ
مَنْ
يَمُوتُ يَقُولُ
السَّيِّدُ
الرَّبُّ.
فَارْجِعُوا
وَاحْيُوا]. |
